• Stability, power and torque, especially forlarger diameters

• Component clamping.

• Tool position

• Tool changing times/number of tools in turret

• Spindle speed (rpm) limitations, bar feed magazine

• Sub spindle, or tail stock available?

• Use all possible support

• Easy to program

• Cutting fluid pressure.
